David Pryor to Talk about and Autograph New Book
At 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, former Governor/Senator David Pryor will meet with area residents for a book signing at the South Arkansas Arts Center to give the community an opportunity to buy his new book, A Pryor Commitment, and to hear the author talk about his life as a public servant.
In A Pryor Commitment, just published by Butler Center Books, former Governor David Pryor narrates a number of defining moments from his life, from his boyhood days in Camden through three full terms in the U.S. Senate. Pryor’s writing is casual and to the point—the same kind of personal style that helped him make a deep and lasting connection with the people of Arkansas.
Copies of A Pryor Commitment will be available at the South Arkansas Community College Bookstore by September 29. To reserve a copy, contact Whit Sandifer, Bookstore Manager at 870 864-7185 or e-mail [email protected]
The October 9 meeting will include a chat and Q&A with audience members in SAAC’s Callaway Theater. Following Pryor’s talk, the South Arkansas Community College Bookstore will host a book sale and signing along with Friends of David Pryor who will sponsor a light lunch reception in the Merkle & Price Galleries.
For additional information contact Sherrel Johnson, 870 314-0749 or [email protected].
